The Network of Excellence for Statistical Machine Learning promotes a wide variety of international collaboration for both theoretical and practical research on statistical machine learning and supports the related domestic communities in order to improve the international presence of statistical machine learning research performed in Japan.
It will form cross relationships with statistics, optimization, data analysis, and engineering research fields and improve human resource development.
